Day # 1
Arrival to Turkmenistan

11:00 Arrival in Turkmenistan, Ashgabat's airport.

Transfer to the hotel & free time. We could fill the leisure for you and offer a modest dinner in one of the nearby restaurants. Turkmen food is truly delicious!

Overnight.

Day # 2 
Ashgabat / Mary / Merv excursion

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel.

09:00 Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Mary. The road will take approx. ~40 minutes.

 10:30 Arrival to Merv - an ancient city that was a checkpoint for sellers trading goods from the Great Silk Road countries. A quick excursion to the most known attractions such as 3-Kalas temples: Kyz, Erk & Gyaur. You will also visit Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum and Keshk Fortress - the leftovers of the once-powerful dynasty of Turkmens.

16:00 Return to Mary. A quick excursion to the History Museum.

18:00 Drive to the airport, to transfer to Ashgabat via local airlines.

19:30 Arrival in Ashgabat. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight.

Day # 3
Ashgabat city tour & Darvaza Gas Crater
08:00 Breakfast in the hotel.
08:30 Come down to the hotel's lobby and start your Ashgabat city tour with visiting Old Nisa (a member of UNESCO's World Heritage) to Spiritual Mosque. This place was admitted as one of the biggest mosques in the world.

Continue your tour with visiting National Museum of Turk's History and follow your guide to Monument of Neutrality, down to Presidential Square (yes, Turkmenistan's President is that modest!); to Dinosaur Plateau.At the very end you will visit the modern Independence Park.

15:00 Drive to the famous 'Gates of Hell' a.k.a. Darvaza Gas Crater. 

19:00 Arrival to Darvaza. Settling up the tents' camp. 

20:00 Spectating Darvaza in the upcoming evening shades. The photo-taking time. 

21:00 Late BBQ party at Darvaza enjoying Turkmen shashlik.

Overnight in the yurts camp.

Day # 4
Darvaza-Kunya-Urgench tour- Uzbekistan-Khiva

08:00 Breakfast in the tents camp.

09:00 Start driving to ancient city Kunya-Urgench. During the excursion, you will be able to acknowledge more about its mausoleums belonging to several sultans, such as Sultan Ali & Sultan II Arslan. There are also famous Kutlug Temur Minaret & Kyrk Molla Hill located. 

15:00 Drive to Uzbek-Turkmen border pass 'Shavat-Dashoguz'. Pass the border, meet with Uzbek side driver. Drive to Khiva.

18:00 Arrival in Khiva. Check-in the hotel.

Day # 5
Khiva tour - Urgench drive - Bukhara

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out.

09:00 Start excursion around the historical part of Khiva – Ichan-kala (translated as “Inner town”). Ichan-kala - is the largest Museum in the open air in Central Asia consisting of the listed down monuments: Ata-Darvaza, Kunya- ArkMadrassah of Muhammad Rahim Khan, Madrassah of Muhammed Aminhan, Kalta Minor, the Palace of the Allakulihan Khan of Khiva - Tash Hauli, where the harem of 40 concubines was, Caravanserai and Tim Allakulihan, Pahlavan Mahmud Gates, Mausoleum of Seyd Allaudin, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, Minaret and Islam-Khoja Madrassah, Mosque and Jami Minaret.

16:00 A short master class on how to bake traditional Uzbek bread a.k.a. 'patir', looking like classic Johny-cake but in a very Uzbek style.

18:00 Drive to Urgench for taking a flight to Bukhara. 

21:00 Arrival in Bukhara. Check-in the hotel. Overnight.

Day # 6
Bukhara city tour

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel.

09:00 Meet with your guide & driver and start a WALKING excursion in Bukhara.

Ensemble Lyabi Hauz (Nadir Divanbegi Madrassa, Khanaka, Kukeldash Madrassa and the monument of Khodja Nasreddin);

Magoki Attari Mosque is one of the oldest mosques survived in Bukhara from the time before the Mongolian invasion;

Abdullakhan’s Tim with numerous handicraft shops of souvenirs, ceramics, national clothes, and carpets;

- Caravanserai Sayfuddin (the Center of Handicraft Development of Bukhara);

- There are three trading domes or so-called covered bazaars Toki Sarrofon, Toki Telpak Furushon and Toki Zargaron preserved from the XVI century and these bazaars were centers of the silk trade, selling jewelry and even for money exchange. Today as well, one can enjoy and purchase different souvenirs in a wide range, from small souvenir magnets to the famous Bukhara carpets;

- Visit Ulughbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrassas or so-called Kosh (pare) madrassas opposite each other with a distinctive style of facade ornamental decoration;

Poi Kalon Square with Kalon Minaret and Mosque, Mir Arab Madrassa – the heart of Bukhara, a monumental complex impresses the imagination of every visitor;

Ark Fortress – the oldest citadel dating back to I century BC where anyone can feel the history of the great fortress covered in beautiful legends and myths.

Optionally can be added by request: Samanids mausoleum (IX century), a monument of early medieval architecture. 

18:00 Supper at the Nadir Divan Begi Madrasah including a spectating folk show with dances and singing.

20:00 Transfer back to the hotel. 

Day # 7
Bukhara-goodbye-Samarkand

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out. 

10:00 A short excursion to Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa - the home of the last Emir of Bukhara. Emir has died and was buried somewhere in Afghanistan, among casual people and nowadays his grave looks like ruins.

13:00 Trip to Chor-Bakr Necropolis. 

14:00 Lunch.

17:00 Transfer to the railway station to take a train to Samarkand. Departure. 

 

20:00 Arrival to Samarkand. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

Day # 8
Samarkand city tour

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel. 

09:00 Come down to the hotel's lobby and meet with your guide and driver. 

Transfer to the old part of Samarkand and start sightseeing program:

– Gur Emir Mausoleum – a burial vault of Timur the Great and his descendants decorated with gold ornaments and considered as one of the most significant places in the world;

– Continue to the famous Registan Square – the heart of Samarkand and a real masterpiece of Central Asian medieval architecture consists of three grandiose buildings: Ulughbek Madrassa, Madrassa Sherdor, and Madrassa Tilla Kori.

– Bibi Khanim Mosque – the biggest medieval building in the city which was one of the most magnificent mosques in the Islamic world in 15 Century;

– Shahi Zinda Necropolis – unique complex of Mausoleums  formed by standing on both sides of the cenotaph (an imaginary grave) belonging to the Muslim person named Saint Abbas ibn-Kussam;

– Ulugbek’s Observatory – the finest astronomical centers in the medieval world was built by order of Ulugbek, an outstanding scholar and astronomer;

– Samarkand bazaar – Siyab.

18:00 Late lunch in one of the cafes. 

19:00 Transfer back to the hotel.

Day # 9
Samarkand-Tashkent

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel.

09:00 Transfer to the famous winery & museum of the wine of Samarkand named after Mr. Khovrenko.

12:00 Lunch in the cafe.

13:00 Leisure

16:00 Departure to Tashkent via fast speed train Afrosiyob.

19:00 Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel.

Day # 10
Tashkent city tour

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel. 

Start sightseeing tour of Tashkent (5-6 hrs) visiting old and new parts of it:

Earthquake Memorialthe composition is devoted to the tragic date of earthquake in Tashkent on April 26, 1966, and is erected in the approximate place of the earthquake epicenter. Residents still come to the monument to honor those people who took a part in the reconstruction of Tashkent - the main square of Uzbekistan reflects the past, present, and future of the country;

– Khast Imam Square – a religious center of the city consisting of the Barakkhan madrasah;

– Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic Literature with the Holy Koran Book of the VII century. 

– Visiting Chorsu marketplace and drive back to the new city by metro. 

Continue excursion with visiting Independence Square. There are fountains standing for life energy of Uzbek people, the “Eternal flame" in honor of soldiers who died during the World War II,  the arch " Good and noble aspiration" crowned with birds of happiness and prosperity, a road "Ok Yul" (“Good way”) leading to Independence Monument and monument to Happy Mother that symbolize the hope for a great future.

One can often see the newly-weds who start a family and independent life walking through the arch of “Good and noble aspirations”, laying flowers at the monument of Happy Mother and Eternal flame.

Day #11
Tashkent-departure

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel. 

09:00 Leisure, and for filling it we can suggest to visit the Japanese Garden and take a ride on the city cableway around Japanese Garden & Tashkent Disneyland. (up to weather and seasonal time)

or

- Visit to the center of Plov where you can try 4 different types of plov and other national Uzbek dishes.

15:00 Transfer to the airport. Departure.

NOTE:  participants of the tour should be in a good physical form and if needed - to bring your medical treatments from the home side. We highly recommend to prepare your medical insurance in case of traveling through wild nature and some parts of a drive might be tough - sandy winds, hot sun, insects, lack of water. 

Please be ready to carry your luggage on your own through the borderline zone. 

Make sure that your passport has enough blank lists - you going to receive a lot of border stamps.
